Kansas City agrees not to enforce alcohol sales ban until August: source

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — FOX4 News obtained a letter that revealed the city of Kansas City, Missouri, is willing to pause the enforcement of its new alcohol ban – under one condition.

According to the letter, the city has agreed not to enforce the ordinance before Aug. 10 only if the petitioners agree not to seek a temporary restraining order.

Last week, petitioners filed a motion for a declaratory judgment and an injunction to stop the ordinance from being enforced. In exchange for petitioners dropping this effort, the city said it will pause the enforcement of its ordinance…
