Shawnee K-9 officer stabbed last year helping with World Cup security

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Shawnee K-9 officer who was stabbed last summer while assisting with a standoff is now helping out during the World Cup in Kansas City.

The Shawnee Police Department said K-9 Dagger is joining other K-9s from other law enforcement agencies throughout the World Cup to help secure Arrowhead Stadium and the FIFA Fan Festival.
