KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City is offering residents two free options to dispose of storm debris after recent storms.
Free curbside storm debris collection (appointment required)
Appointments open Wednesday, June 17th and Close Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m. Pickup begins Monday, June 29 and will continue until all reservations are complete.
Residents must request an appointment through the myKCMO App or Web Portal, or by calling 311 Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–7 p.m.
To request through myKCMO:
- Submit a report
- Select “Brush Special Collection Request” as the category
Collection requirements:
- Storm debris must be cut into 4-foot lengths
- Limbs must be bundled with twin or jute rope (no wire or plastic tape)
- Debris must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday, June 29
- Storm debris only (leaf and grass clippings will not be collected)
