Dialing back the heat alongside a few afternoon storms

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – It was a very wet 4th of July, though we cleared out the rain and storms in time for fireworks!

Leftover firework smoke and dense fog is keeping visibilities incredibly low as we start our Sunday morning. A Dense Fog Advisory is in place until 9am this morning for visibilities less than a quarter of a mile in spots.

Take it slow on the roads and make sure that you use your low beam headlights!

It’s also another seasonably warm start to the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Once the fog clears out in the mid-morning, temperatures will warm quickly to the 80s by lunchtime.

While we won’t end up being as cool as yesterday afternoon, high temperatures will settle in the mid 80s with humidity making those feel like the low 90s…
