KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City Public Schools hosted its annual Back to School Fest Saturday at East High School, offering families a drive-through pickup of free backpacks and school supplies along with on-site health screenings.
The district prepared about 5,000 backpacks for the event. KCPS staff volunteers and community health partners helped run the fair, which the district holds each year ahead of the start of school.
KC Wolf also appeared at the event.
