KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Leaders from across the country gathered in Kansas City this weekend to discuss mobile health clinics as an option for rural healthcare access.
About 560 people attended the Mobile Healthcare Association’s national conference, where organizers displayed nearly 40 mobile clinics built for services including dental care and mammograms.
Mobile Healthcare Association CEO Mary Ellen Beliveau said new federal Rural Health Transformation Program dollars are fueling growth in the industry, with 48 states already including mobile care in their funding plans.
