Raytown Ward 3 Alderwoman Latrice Thomas’ fight to stay in office is finally over. On Tuesday, the Raytown Board of Aldermen acquitted her of eight counts of malfeasance after a protracted legal battle. The board needed six votes to impeach Thomas. She survived 5-4 on each count.
Earlier this year, Thomas was formally accused of voting on city matters while ineligible, according to articles of impeachment filed against her.
