KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man is dead after a shooting in a parking lot near the Town Topic in Kansas City, according to the Kansas City Police Department.
Officers say they were working an off-duty detail at Town Topic when they heard gunshots coming from a parking lot just south of the business around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.
Investigators indicate that the off-duty officers quickly responded and witnessed several groups of people involved in a confrontation that escalated to gunfire.
