Lee’s Summit, Ray-Pec among school districts delaying starts for Monday morning due to weather

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Multiple school districts have announced delayed starts on Monday morning as severe storms and flash flooding impacted communities across the Kansas City area.

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District stated that it will implement a one-hour delay to the school day for all students and staff. Buses will pick up students one hour later than regular times and car riders may be dropped off in accordance with procedures one hour later than the normal school day.

Ray-Pec Schools also announced it would delay the start to its school day, this time by two hours. The same was the case for Oak Grove R-VI Schools…
