Tracked by Clay County K-9: Driver sentenced after fleeing deputy, leaving kids in van

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man has been sentenced to three years in prison after prosecutors said he fled from a deputy during a traffic stop, left two young children behind in his vehicle and was caught by a Sheriff’s Deputy K-9, according to the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.

Jason Keith Purcell was sentenced for felony resisting a lawful stop and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.
