Kansas City man injured in Lake of the Ozarks boating crash, boat totaled

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – A distracted driver led to a boating crash at Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

State Troopers say a 27-year-old Kansas City man was behind the wheel of a 2021 Lowe Pontoon boat around 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, when he became distracted by a dog on board.

Investigators note that the boat then struck a rock bluff on Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County.

First responders indicate that the man was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The boat was totaled…
