Woman rescued from burning home by Kansas City firefighters

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Firefighters rescued an adult woman from a burning home Wednesday evening, according to the Kansas City Fire Department.

Crews were called to the 5400 block of Lydia at 7:21 p.m. and arrived to find flames coming from the two-story, occupied house. Firefighters went inside with two hose lines, searched the home and pulled the woman out. She was treated at the scene and did not need to go to the hospital, KCFD said.

The fire was under control by 7:34 p.m. Crews stayed on scene for salvage and overhaul, and the Red Cross was requested to help two adults…
