Metro agencies make nearly 20 arrests, recover 10 guns during Memorial Day weekend crackdown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Law enforcement agencies in the metro are ramping up enforcement this Memorial Day weekend, targeting illegal street activity and impaired drivers.

The Kansas City Police Department says officers made 13 arrests, recovered 10 guns, towed 14 vehicles and issued 41 citations overnight.

Officers add that the focus was on street racers, drivers running red lights, illegal dirt bikes, DUIs and fake IDs.
