Houston dogs are getting a fall festival of their own, complete with costume contests, live music, a beer garden and a fundraising mission. Houston Pets Alive!’s Barktoberfest returns Saturday, October 10, at Katy’s Home Run Dugout, giving four-legged partygoers a chance to strut while helping at-risk pets.
The free-admission event will benefit Houston Pets Alive!, with optional ticket purchases supporting the rescue’s work with homeless and at-risk animals, according to the CultureMap Houston listing. Pacifico is presenting the event, which is billed as a family-friendly fall festival for humans and dogs alike.
According to Houston Pets Alive!, Barktoberfest will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at Home Run Dugout, with dog costume contests, music and other tail-wagging activities.
