A British citizen who lived in Katy pleaded guilty last week to illegally voting in Texas elections and falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on Texas voter-registration forms.
Ada Ngozi Otuka, 63, pleaded guilty to one count of voting by a noncitizen and one count of making a false claim of U.S. citizenship to register to vote or cast a ballot. The case grew out of a 2025 referral from state election officials to the FBI and the Texas attorney general’s office identifying suspected illegal voters.
