If Lamar Little League wants to make a return trip to Williamsport, it will have to do it the hard way.
Lamar lost its first game of the postseason, falling to Tulsa 3-1 in the second round of the double-elimination Southwest Region Tournament on Friday at Waco’s Norcross Stadium. Lamar, which had outscored its opponents 110-15 before Friday, will play the winner of the Albuquerque-Little Rock game at 4:30 p.m. Saturday (ESPN+). Lamar, which opened the tournament with a 10-3 win over Boerne, will have to fight through the consolation bracket and win four straight games to make it to the Little League World Series.
