HOUSTON (CW39) — Tesla has announced a new plan to build a $10.1 billion solar cell manufacturing plant in Fort Bend County.
Documents from the Texas Comptroller’s Office said the plant, dubbed “Project Crystal Sun,” is expected to be built on a site off FM 762 and FM1994 in Richmond, which is 40 miles outside of Houston.
Tesla plans to begin construction this year, finish in 2028 and be operational in early 2029…
