Florida left lane law: Deputies crack down on slow drivers lingering in the fast lane

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers that camping out in the left lane can be more than a source of frustration for other motorists — it can lead to a traffic stop and a citation.

In a video posted to the agency’s Facebook page, deputies are shown stopping drivers and explaining Florida’s rules for motorists traveling in the far-left lane.

“We hear the comments about left lane drivers,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “Most people don’t realize that OCSO deputies enforce Florida’s Left Lane Law.”…
