POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman whom Polk County deputies called the “black widow” was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder after investigators said she poisoned a man she met online.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began on Aug. 20 after the 69-year-old victim reported an unexpected medical incident.
He said he met a woman named Nala through a dating app. Detectives later identified her as 39-year-old Samantha Adams.
