Rain Eases As Winds Pick Up
The National Weather Service in Melbourne expects scattered showers through the morning, with the best coverage south of Orlando and near the coast. East-northeast sustained winds will run 15 to 20 mph, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph, and afternoon temperatures should remain in the upper 80s and near 90 degrees.
Brief visibility reductions were possible in heavy rain. Anyone heading toward Atlantic beaches should take a pass on the surf, as forecasters are warning of a high risk of life-threatening rip currents, rough surf and hazardous boating conditions through at least Thursday.
