KNOXVILLE — A section of Woods-Smith Road in Knoxville closed at 6 a.m. Monday morning between Shrewsbury Drive and McKamey Road.
Crews plan to repair the road bed before the city resurfaces it later in the summer. The repair work is scheduled to be finished by 6 p.m. on June 30, the city said.

The city government warned people to watch for crews in the area and for detour signs. It promised that access will be maintained at all times to Solar Drive via McKamey and to all driveways.
