The area of low pressure that has led to several rounds of storms over the last couple of days has finally weakened. However, there is plenty of moisture available in the atmosphere for storms. Spotty showers and storms are anticipated this afternoon/evening, especially over the higher elevations (such as the Plateau and Mountains). There is a low risk for an isolated spot of flooding. Highs will reach the mid-to-upper 80s. Heat Index Values will peak in the mid 90s.
Storms will fizzle this evening. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s. Some areas of locally dense fog are possible. Another round of spotty storms will develop Friday afternoon/evening.
