Lenoir City man charged in connection to death of Blount County deputy to enter plea: DA’s Office

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Lenoir City man charged in connection to the death of Blount County Deputy Justin Mowery is set to enter a plea this week.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office said Dalton Michael Bowman stole a motorcycle out of Loudon County and led deputies on a chase Dec. 28. One of the deputies chasing Bowman was Justin Mowery, who was driving on Miser Station Road and crashed into a utility pole at Vinegar Valley Road. Mowery would die from injuries sustained in the crash.
