KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Command Sergeant Major Marcus Whitt returned to Vietnam for the first time since serving there during the war. It’s a trip he said gave him closure decades after his service.
Whitt was one of eight U.S. veterans who traveled back to Vietnam at no cost through Best Defense Foundation, a national nonprofit that takes veterans back to the countries where they served.
