Acadia Parish cold case needs public assistance

ACADIA PARISH, LA. (KLFY) — The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance to solve the July 3, 2023 killing of 18-year-old Tylon Washington. The sheriff’s office has stated that a lack of public information is hindering the ongoing investigation.

Authorities describe Washington’s death as an ambush-style killing that happened at an apartment complex outside of Crowley. The Acadia Parish Sheriff, KP Gibson, noted the investigation has not received significant information and believes this lack of cooperation stems from public fear of being identified.
