SCOTT, La. (KLFY) — The Scott Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1300 block of South Fieldspan Rd. early this morning at 3:05 a.m., officials said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a shed next to the residence fully engulfed in flames, with the fire having extended to the main house. Crews quickly deployed a handline to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further throughout the home. Additional personnel confirmed all occupants had safely evacuated the structure.
The shed, where authorities believe the fire originated, was declared a total loss. The residence itself sustained moderate fire and heat damage, while smoke damage affected other portions of the home, officials said…
