Vermilion Catholic High School to implement policy restricting social media use

VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Vermilion Catholic school in Abbeville banning some student use of social media, artificial intelligence and technology beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Under the new policy, students through eighth grade will be prohibited from maintaining social media accounts. The policy will expand to include ninth-grade students during the 2027-28 school year.
