(Lafayette, Louisiana) – The heat is on in South Louisiana, and in just a few short days, we could get a break from the extreme temperatures.
In recent days, temperatures have soared into the mid-to-upper 90s, and if you’ve been weather-aware, you may have even heard that there have been extreme heat warnings for our region.
While temperatures during the day have steadily been in the 90s, the heat indices on some days have exceeded 108 degrees; thus, that is why the heat advisories have been issued across the Deep South.
