These Lafayette restaurants were cited by health department for critical violations in July

Six Lafayette restaurants were cited for one or more critical violations by the Louisiana Department of Health in recent July inspections.

Three of the restaurants were dealing with flies, roaches or other rodents. And two of the eateries also did not have an employee with a food safety certification, according to records from the health department.

The health department’s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment’s inspection reports, allowing residents and visitors of Louisiana to make informed decisions as consumers, according to their website.
