LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — The Lafayette Fire Department’s Haz-Mat Team responded to a chlorine leak at the Lafayette Utilities System Water Treatment Plant, containing the leak without injuries after employees quickly followed safety protocols and evacuated the area.
The incident occurred at the LUS Commission Treatment Plant on Commission Blvd. on Friday, July 31.
