A University of Louisiana at Lafayette student has earned a spot in one of Louisiana’s premier conservation leadership programs, joining students from across the state who will spend the next year tackling wildlife and natural resource issues.
Claire Bryant, a geology student at UL Lafayette, was selected as one of 25 undergraduate students chosen for the 2026-27 Edgar Veillon Conservation Leadership Corps, the Louisiana Wildlife Federation announced.
Now entering its eighth year, the program brings together students from 11 Louisiana colleges and universities representing disciplines including biology, geology, forestry, environmental science, agriculture and landscape architecture.
