Louisiana craft brewery behind popular US beers unveils massive expansion at Acadiana facility

Parish Brewing Company entered Louisiana’s craft brewing scene around 2009 with the introduction of Canebrake, an approachable wheat ale inspired by the sugarcane fields that wave across southwest Louisiana.

Over the past 16 years the company has established itself in Broussard, with an active production facility and tap room where locals gather for trivia nights and fellowship over popular brews like Canebrake, Ghost in the Machine, Envie and the Sips line of sour ales.

Founder Andrew Godley announced on social media on Wednesday, May 13 that Parish Brewing Company is planning a major expansion at their headquarters at 229 Jared Dr., Broussard, saying, “we’re breaking ground on a 22,500-square-foot production facility.”

Godley said that the expansion will double Parish’s brewing capacity and allow them to produce around 40,000 barrels of beer annually. The construction, which will be completed by Manuel Commercial builders, will also include a new brewhouse, lab, and warehouse and office space…
