LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies said he provided a false name during a bicycle traffic stop and was found to have an active warrant.
A deputy with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling near Main Street East and Longfellow Boulevard at approximately 2:12 p.m. on August 10, 2026, when he observed a bicyclist commit a traffic infraction. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the rider.
