A 41-year-old Dauphin County man this month was charged with animal cruelty after investigators lifted a fingerprint off a note left with two abandoned dogs.
On Sept. 11, 2025, shortly after 3:30 a.m., Derry Township police were sent to West End Avenue, near Waltonville Road, for two dogs abandoned in crates.
A note was left with the crates saying the owner could no longer care for the dogs and no shelters in Pennsylvania or other states as far as away as Georgia would accept them…
