One Person Is Killed and Another Is Hurt in a Rollover Crash on South 4th Street in Reading

READING, PA — One person died and another was injured Thursday afternoon after a rollover crash on the 300 block of South 4th Street in Reading, officials said.

The crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found a vehicle on its roof and a passenger partly thrown through the sunroof.

Passenger dies at the scene

The Berks County Coroner said the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials identified the person as a 27-year-old from Sinking Spring, though full identification is still pending until relatives are notified.

The driver was taken to a hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.
