Green Party candidate from cental Pa. runs into problems getting on gov ballot

Green Party gubernatorial candidate and Lancaster resident Tony Dastra said his name is unlikely to appear on the ballot in November, conceding his team did not secure enough valid signatures.

Dastra on Wednesday said an objection to his candidacy, filed last week in Commonwealth Court, accurately called out invalid signatures on his nomination papers. The state deadline for a candidate to remove their own name from the ballot has passed, so Dastra said he anticipates a court order will remove his name.
