School District of Lancaster announces financial leadership changes after budget troubles

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The School District of Lancaster announced changes to its financial leadership after a software error led to a nearly $10 million deficit in the 2024-25 budget.

The district said the changes, announced Monday, are designed to improve oversight, strengthen internal controls and ensure greater accuracy and transparency when it comes to district finances.

The announcement comes after the district had said that its software system, called Munis, incorrectly projected for the 2024-25 school year that 83 of its employees had a salary of $0.
