York County SPCA announces free adoption Fridays after ‘large-scale’ animal hoarding case

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County animal shelter confirmed it is approaching critical capacity as it is dealing with an influx of up to 50 dogs or more as part of a “large-scale animal hoarding case.”

At a Wednesday morning press conference, the York County SPCA updated the public with the latest information on what it described as one of the largest animal hoarding cases in its history.

Steven Martinez told the public the shelter’s focus “remains on ensuring every animal receives the medical treatment, behavior support, and housing they need.”…
