On the weekend of July 10-12, the Holland High School Trapshooting team shot at the USA High School Clay Target League National Championship Meet in Mason, Michigan. Holland placed 164th out of 234 teams.
Senior Colton Bray qualified for the fifth year in a row at the tournament. On July 10, Bray and his teammates hit 90-of-100 targets in the team qualifier. On July 11, in the individual qualifier, Bray hit 95-of-100 targets to earn a spot in the Championship Round on July 12. Bray hit 96-of-100 targets, including a 25-straight streak, which gave his a final position of 203-of-1,752 targets against some of the best high school trapshooters in the nation.
Mason Smith shot well in the team qualifier on July 10, as he also hit 25 straight targets. Axel Benzel also hit 25 straight in the individual qualifier…
