LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Lake Lansing Park South and the former Habitat for Humanity ReStore building west of Williamston were among the hardest-hit places as a line of strong storms swept through Mid-Michigan on Thursday.
There were reports of wind gusts approaching 70 mph in some areas, while other parts of Mid-Michigan saw heavy downpours.
The former Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located on E. Grand River Avenue, closed last month. After Thursday’s storms, the front of the building had severe damage and the surrounding area had downed trees and power lines.
Meanwhile at Lake Lansing, News 10’s Riley Connell reported severe tree damage and the park’s pavilion was destroyed.
