LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The privately owned portion of the Bailey Street Parking Lot in East Lansing will close to the public on Oct. 2 after its owners chose to terminate their contract with the city.
According to the city of East Lansing, the western portion of the Bailey Street Parking Lot has been leased by the city “for many years” and was renewed for a one-year extension agreement.
The city says it was its understanding that the property owners, who were not named in a news release, were “interested in continuing to lease the property.” The owners reportedly chose to exercise their 30-day termination notice, which will go into effect in October…
