LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Mid-Michigan seniors and caregivers gathered at the Lansing Mall on Thursday for the Fall Senior Expo, taking advantage of free health screenings and local support services.
More than 50 organizations specializing in senior care took part in the free event. Attendees were able to receive giveaways, refreshments, and information on a wide range of services. Vendors organized the event to consolidate resources in one location for older adults.
“Basically it’s just a place for seniors to come and get care that they need… with like living facilities, foot, auto — there’s so many vendors here just to help seniors in the area,” said Jade Smith, a vendor with D-I-G. “Cause you know, it’s hard to find information and this is kinda to help them have it all in one place.”…
