LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — After more than 25 years of caring for children in the Lansing area, the owner of K’s Precious Care is preparing to expand into a new facility and she’s asking the community to help make it happen.
Owner Kindra Jackson-Etchison says the nonprofit childcare center serves children from six weeks old through age five, along with after-school programming for children up to 17. She estimates the center has cared for more than 500 children over the years.
The new facility on Holt Road would allow K’s Precious Care to expand beyond traditional childcare, with plans for gardening and nature-based learning as well as partnerships with dance groups, chefs, counselors and other community organizations.
