35-year-old man arrested in fatal Jackson County hit-and-run

BLACKMAN TWP., Mich. (News 10) – The Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety arrested a 35-year-old man Tuesday who police believe was driving the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash earlier this month.

A 35-year-old Charlotte man was arrested in the Lansing area and taken into custody without incident, police said. He is accused of being the driver in the Sept. 15 crash that killed 58-year-old Eric Estey of Jackson.

The crash happened around 10:40 p.m. Sept. 15 near Rosehill Road and Videto Lane. Police were called to the area after a 911 caller reported a man lying motionless in the roadway and a scooter nearby…
