SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – Spring hit the pause button after a cold front swung through Saturday leaving below average temperatures and freeze warnings in its wake. Enough cold air has been around to bring lake effect rain and snow showers scattered through mid-Michigan. Like typical lake effect setups, even some sunshine has been able to poke through the clouds.
Tonight – The lake effect showers will come to an end and skies will clear out. Without any clouds temperatures will fall to the mid 20s. Normal lows would be at 37 degrees, so such a drop has caused Freezing warnings in Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, Saginaw, and Gratiot counties through Monday morning. Winds will be out of the northwest still at 10-15mph and gusting to 20-25mph.
