Las Vegas temperatures to soar to 110F by midweek

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — This weekend is not doing too bad as far as heat. Saturday afternoon, we only hit 102F, putting us near the normal high of 101F, which isn’t too bad this mid-June.

For Sunday, on Father’s Day and the first day of summer, we are aiming for a degree or two warmer for many valley spots around 103F. Winds Saturday have been breezy, with lighter winds expected Sunday, and that should help with fire danger concerns since we’ve been so dry.

As we push later into the work week, temperatures will continue to jump to near 110F with warm overnight lows in the mid 80’s. By midweek, some monsoon moisture works its way in with only a 10%-20% chance for the valleys, looks like we’ll stay mostly dry with better chances for the higher terrain…
