Las Vegas could soon let visitors leave restaurants with to-go alcoholic drinks after law change

Las Vegas locals and tourists could soon keep the party going off the Strip, as the city considers an “alcohol to go” ordinance that would let the good times pour beyond restaurant walls.

Under the proposed framework, restaurants could potentially offer cocktails for delivery or pickup, creating a new revenue stream for the hospitality industry.

The proposal comes a year after Nevada’s Assembly Bill 375 legalized the sale and delivery of to-go cocktails for qualifying bars and restaurants through delivery services and apps, while leaving it up to each city to set its own rules. Nevada has become the 31st state to allow restaurants to deliver mixed drinks, and both Reno and Las Vegas are now in the early stages of exploring local ordinances while officials gather feedback from businesses on how to implement the rules at the city level…
