LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas valley is going all out for America’s 250th birthday.
From parades to live theatre, there is something for everyone to enjoy this holiday weekend. 8 News Now has compiled a list of events throughout the valley:
Summerlin Patriotic Parade
Summerlin’s grandest tradition is returning on Saturday with unique, dazzling displays making their way through the community. This year’s theme is ““United We Celebrate 250,” honoring America’s 250th birthday.
The parade will feature 70 entries, more than 20 giant helium balloons, over 2,500 participants and hundreds of volunteers helping bring the parade to life. Tommy and JC also spotlighted some of this year’s can’t-miss floats, including historical tributes like Spirit of ’76 and Lincoln’s Call to Unity, alongside fan favorites such as Red, White and Bluey, Wicked: Fun on the Fourth and Mario’s Star-Spangled Power Up.

8 News Now’s JC will be emceeing the parade alongside Sherry Swensk and 8 News Now Evening Anchor Brian Loftus. He also revealed that the 8 News Now team will once again have its own parade entry, and this year they’ll be rolling in a fully restored 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS.
Boulder City Damboree
The 78th annual Damoree Parade and Fireworks Celebration will take place on Saturday in Boulder City with a day filled with events for the family from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Blast Off In The Basin” Fourth of July event
This free Fourth of July celebration at Buckskin Basin Park will kick off on Saturday at 7 p.m. with a live DJ, food, drinks, and special trivia celebrating America’s 250th birthday. There will be an aerial display starting at 9:15 p.m., which will include coordinated use of fireworks and drones…
