A HOMEOWNER has been desperately trying to get major repairs done to his property but his HOA has allegedly refused to help.
Michael Shepherd from Atlanta has claimed that his homeowners association in Peyton Place has reportedly failed to accept dues to maintain properties in the community.
Shepherd claims that the president of his HOA, Clare Cherry is refusing to collect dues to fix damage to properties under its management.
“This is what happened when I mailed the checks,” he told 11Alive.
“They were returned to sender.”
Shepherd owns two townhomes in Peyton Place and has said that when he initially made the purchases the HOA accepted several checks.
However, the recent checks have been rejected and sent back to him from the post office.
According to Shepherd, the HOA is inconsistent in claiming dues and has recently demanded cash-only payments.
Upon asking to see the HOA’s financial records which all HOA members have a right to see, his request was allegedly denied.
