WILMORE, Ky. — The city of Wilmore is hosting a three-day patriotic celebration called Salute to Service, which includes a parade, ceremonies of remembrance and live music. It is the first time they have held this.
The event honors more than 250 veterans and family members of 14 people still missing in action. It comes during Wilmore’s 150th birthday alongside America’s 250th, the 35th anniversary of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center and the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
